Any further information of the likely availability of ST4? Are we talking Q2 or Q3 or later?

Owen
Hi Owen,

Right now it is looking like May, but I can't make any promises.
Still no thoughts on a release date?
There will be an announcement in the next couple of weeks.
I hope the new version incorporates the Nexus DSC system. Even though it does work with ST3, I would like to use it directly and not by work arounds to get it communicating. Smile

I'm not aware of any issues with the Nexus DSC. Perhaps you could describe them in detail.

Greg,

Not that there are issues so much as having to emulate the Sky commander system and using an outside program to act as a VSP so Nexus DSC can communicate with Skytools as a Sky commander system. If possible I would like to see Skytools communicate with Nexus directly as a option and not as Sky Commander or an Argo Navis.

Hi Paul,

It is my understanding that there is an ASCOM diver for the Nexus DSC. Have you tried it? If so, in what way is it not sufficient?
Greg, I think Paul may be asking if we can interface SkyTools with the Nexus DSC the same as something like SkySafari does via wifi. Right now we need to install a third party application that maps a comm port to the wifi connection and tell SKyTools to use that comm port. In SkySafari its just a matter of selecting the right wifi setup, IP and port
I got an email from somone (the OP? I can't recall) and it turned out that he was asking about uploading observing lists to the Nexus in the same way that they can be for the Sky Commander or Argo Navis.
