Hi Greg,

It looks like the filters on T16 in Spain have been changed from what's shown in ST4 Imaging. Only a Luminance, Blue, Green & Red filter are available now. Is this something that I can change in the IS setup or do you need to do the update?

If you like, I can go through all the iTelescope filter loads to see if there are other changes.

TIA,

Phil S.
Hi Phil,

Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into it and update the filters. They gave me a link to check that is supposed to be updated with the latest data. I need to write a utility program to check it for changes, but just haven't had the time. Sadly, I have been unable to get them to regularly update me on mirror cleanings, despite how critical that information is.

I've been trying to get some images using T70 to finalize the info for it, but it just fails over and over. Not ready for prime time that one, even when the internet is actually working.
Yes, it looks like T70 is heavily used, but the connectivity is pretty poor. It's only a 135 mm f/2 camera lens that's stopped down to f/3.5. I guess they did that to improve the image quality in the corners of the frame.

With the incorrect filters, my reservation on T16 crashed. Is it possible for me to alter the iTelescope filters myself? They may have changed other parameters of the system, so I prefer to let ST4 take care of it so I don't mess something up & break it.

The heavy use may be a mirage. I tried every night for a week and it failed every time. Connectivity wasn't the issue. Because this one can be modeled two ways I need an actual image to go on. But so far no luck.

Yes, you can edit the filters yourself until I get it updated, which should be by tomorrow.
Thanks, Greg, I can wait. There's nothing urgent for using T16.

I am still waiting for them, to tell me the specifics of the filters. Unfortunately "Luminance" just doesn't cut it.
Hi Greg,

Red, green & blue probably aren't definitive enough either. ST4i wants the bandpass info too. Glad I decided to wait.

Hello Phil,

After an investigation, it turned out that the actual filters installed in the telescope had not changed. It was the iTelescope web interface that was incorrect. There does appear to be one additional "Clear" filter, and I will add that, but otherwise the current SkyTools T16 data should be correct.
Hi Greg,

I just checked the T16 filters in ST4i and the list of filters is empty. None of the other iTelescopes I ckecked had filters either, all blank lists. T05, T07, T16, t18, T30 T33 & T68(NM) are all blank.

We will take this up in the support forum.
