RE: New iTelescope T80 in Spain - theskyhound - 2022-08-09 I finally got a set of images of the Veil with T80. All were out of focus except for the SII filter. There is something weird going on with the Luminance filter for sure. It didn't record as much nebulosity as the Ha and OIII at the same exposure time. I can't make sense of that. It takes a lot of work to test that I've got the parameters right in SkyTools, and I don't have the widths of the narrow band filters yet, so it will be a bit until I release T80 for SkyTools. RE: New iTelescope T80 in Spain - PMSchu - 2022-08-09 No rush. Phil S. RE: New iTelescope T80 in Spain - ledge1962 - 2022-08-10 Any chance of a look at the Veil that was in focus please? Here is a calibrated 180s exposure (I took 4 of them) in the SII narrow band filter. And a 180s Ha for good measure. The stars in the OIII filter were big blobs... RE: New iTelescope T80 in Spain - theskyhound - 2022-08-10 Ok, that's weird. I didn't think to upload the jpg previews. Those were FITS files. Not sure by what process they are being converted into jpg. I hadn't seen it do that before. RE: New iTelescope T80 in Spain - ledge1962 - 2022-08-10 Your program is more magic than you realised ![]() Thanks for sharing the images, they look amazing. Do you mind if I keep one for personal use please? RE: New iTelescope T80 in Spain - PMSchu - 2022-08-10 Greg, That looks great for single 180 sec exposures through a 48 mm aperture. Phil S. RE: New iTelescope T80 in Spain - finlaw - 2023-06-26 Hello, I'm Henry from Finlaw consultancy. I'm here to know about iTelescope system. can you guide me? RE: New iTelescope T80 in Spain - PMSchu - 2023-06-30 Hi Henry, I just noticed your post at the bottom of the forum. I don't remember seeing it yesterday. Sorry. Have you visited the iTelescope website yet? Here's a link: iTelescope - Leaders in Internet Astronomy since 2006 They have remotely operable telescopes in Australia, Chile, Spain & USA. If you have SkyTools 4 Imaging, you can generate scripts to control the iTelescopes. I appologize if you allready know all of this, but those are the basics. If you haven't already, I'd recommend that you check out the scopes that are available on the iTelescope system to see which ones would suit your needs. It would help to have an idea of where you're at & where you want to go with your imaging. Hope this helps, Phil S. |
