Nexus II
#1
I am considering purchasing SkyTools4 to control my telescope equipped with a Nexus II and encoders, I have a Windows 10 laptop computer I plan on using with it.

Does SkyTools4 connect directly to the Nexus II's USB port or does it connect wirelessly?

Do you have detailed connection instructions for the Nexus II and SkyTools 4?

Can I run SkyTools 4 on my laptop for computer control in the field and a copy of SkyTools 4 on my main computer in the house for planning etc etc?

Thank you!

SkyTools connects to your mount via ASCOM, which is a free 3rd party platform for connecting astronomy app to mounts. So from the point of view of SkyTools, all telescopes are the same, since all its communication is with ASCOM rather than a mount directly. How you connect your mount to the computer is outside of the scope of SkyTools. These are questions better put to the makers of your mount, or to your peers who use the same mount as you. You likely have the option to go either wired or wireless, its just a matter of choosing the right hardware.

Anyone who uses the Nexus II with SkyTools care to speak up?
