Hi Bob,

What location did you have ST4 set for? Tokyo? If you had ST4 set for the southern hemisphere, the event was an appulse due to parallax. From here in Ohio they were separated by 47'. From Brisbane, 1.1°. You were close, but no cigar.

Only one degree apart from Squirrel Tree Ranch but 40° below my western horizon! Yikes!  But it did look really nice last night just after dark 10° up and separated ~3°

Just a point here: as has been shown by the responses, the internet can tell you that an event will occur worldwide. The utility of having your own software do the calculation, such as SkyTools, is that you can make the calculation for any specific location. So naturally, SkyTools is geared to that.
