I attended the webinar on 2022 Aug 5.
Dr. Sasse of iTelescopes showed some images from T80 located at the new site in Spain. As noted above this system is a 135 mm camera lens-based system with a wide field. It looks like a nice system.
Dr. Sasse also said that the plans for the T40 system on LaPalma are dead as that scope is located in a dome. He said that domes & remote users don't play well together. They haven't been able to control a dome remotely. RORO roofs are much simpler to control & are preferred.
They're planning more scopes in Chile because of the weather, but the communications problems may render any weather improvements moot IMHO. Maybe the demand for T70 is just very great.
