Is there a way to customize the sky mag limit for each telescope from each location? For instance from home, I observe with my 13" from generally Bortle 4 skies. The issue is that when looking south, I'm limited by a dome of sky fog (light pollution) from local towns and cities. Looking for a way to change my limits in that zone.

Hello,
At the moment light domes aren't part of the sky model. This is an improvement I would like to make. I have looked at estimating the impact of light domes via modelling the light pollution based on the data from surrounding cities. There are algorithms to do that. Another approach I've been looking at is to take images and generate a model from the actual sky brightness, but that is only going to work for SkyTools Imaging. I'm probably going to do that next.

Thank you. Maybe a good reason to get Imaging in the future.

Because the location data is shared between ST4 Visual & Imaging, the light dome model will be used in ST4 Visual once it is created in ST4 Imaging.

Hello,
Modeling light pollution domes will be very useful, I just moved to a new location with really good sky in the south and west as you can see the milky way, but the east sky is bright because there is a nearby city, also a little bit in the north. So I was thinking about how to use SkyTools to calculate the times for observing objects on the best conditions. I hope you can implement this soon.
