How to pick and copy multiple objects to another list?
#1
Hi
I make myself some interesting basic lists to pick objects from.
How do I make a workflow, where I can pick say 5 objects from one list and 8 from another and copy those to a todays-list?
It seems you can only right click and copy one object at a time. Is that true?
Best regards
Lars

Hi Lars,

You can take advantage of the Check column at the left edge of the Nightly Planner page. Be sure that you have this column displayed. Here's how to Copy objects:

1) Create your New Observing List to receive the objects,
2) Open a list with some objects that you want,
3) Just Click in the Check column of the objects you are interested in, a red Check will appear,
4) Repeat Step 3 for the other desired objects in the current list,
5) Right-Click on one of the Checks, Select 'Copy to' from the drop down list, then Select the Observing List (OL) that you created in Step 1, Click the 'OK' box. The Checked objects will all be Copied to the new OL. You can also Move objects.
6) If you have objects in another OL, open it as you did in Step 2 and proceed as in Step 3 to Check & copy the desired objects.

The Check marks are a very useful tool in SkyTools. I recommend taking a look at the Help to see some of the other useful things that you can do with them, like Checking & Clearing the marks for all items in the OL for example.

I hope this helps,

Phil S.
