Ascom & Sky Tools

Hello, Has anyone had a problem using Ascom to connect  sky tools to their telescope? I have a Meade LX-90 mount  and sky tools . I got sky tools to connect to my mount two times, but when sky tools sends a slew command nothing happens. Now when i try to connect the mount and S/W the ascom S/W freezes up.I have posted my problem on the Ascom group but have not received a answer yet. will w

I apologize for the delay in approving your post. I have been at the TSP. It is very unlikely that your problem is with SkyTools. Some thing to try:

1. Uninstall the ASCOM Platform and then re-install it
2. Re-install your ASCOM driver
3. Ensure that your mount firmware (if it has firmware) is up to date

The most likely cause of problems is in communications. Cables are commonly at fault, even new ones. USB to serial adapters can have conflicts and driver issues (reinstall the driver), as can wireless communications.
