Keep UserPath in a Dropbox directory?
#1
I would like to sync my laptop (used in the field) and my desktop (where I plan things) data. Until the Sync functionality will be available, would there be any issues if I move the entire
C:\Users\<my user>\Documents\SkyTools 4 to a Dropbox folder and change HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Skyhound\SkyTools\4\UserPath to point to that folder on both machines? I understand the pitfalls (need to be careful not to use it at the same time on both machines and upon return to let Dropbox sync before I start the desktop instance), I'm interested to know if anything would prevent the above from working.

Thank you.

Yes, that could work. But some of those pitfalls, particularly the need to wait until it has fully synced, may eventually cause problems if you are not extremely careful.

Thanks. Sync-ing should be very fast, particularly that Dropbox has local sync (https://help.dropbox.com/syncing-uploads...c-overview).
