Close Approach of (152637) 1997 NC1
#11
It looks like the close approach of the large Aten-class NEA (523808) 2007 ML24 will be something of a bust. Despite being rated a 'Rarity'=2 event it will spend most of its close approach in daylight. Using MPC's orbital elements for the epoch 2026 Jun 29 0000 UT, SkyTools 4.1.1.21 Visual Pro predicts that it will reach a peak brightness of 15.8 magnitude on 2026 July 4 at 2300 EDT (July 5 0300 UT) traveling through Lynx at 59"/minute near the horizon in Columbus, Ohio.
