Edit Reason: Typo
)
Here we have Part 2 of my homework assignment.
Although I could just make out the 30 sec trail on most of the frames I took, when I Calibrated, Aligned and Combined them in PixInsight, the processing “deleted” the few fragile photons. I tried Combining at MAX with no Pixel rejection, but even that method did not tease out the trail.
Here is a single 30 sec Frame, with the mount “locked on” to the RA and DEC rates of 2022 MP, so it appears as the dot in the centre with the stars as trails.
Object Name: 2022 MP
RA (Topocentric): 16h 21m 39.3s
Dec (Topocentric): +01° 53' 19"
RA (2000.0): 16h 20m 30.7s
Dec (2000.0): +01° 56' 29"
Magnitude: 16.71
Date: 26/06/2022 Time: 9:13 PM AEST
UT: 2022/06/26 T1:13:00Z
Constellation: Serpens Caput
Now can I go out and play?
Cheers
Dennis
