I apologize for the delay in approving your post. I have been at the TSP. It is very unlikely that your problem is with SkyTools. Some thing to try:
1. Uninstall the ASCOM Platform and then re-install it
2. Re-install your ASCOM driver
3. Ensure that your mount firmware (if it has firmware) is up to date
The most likely cause of problems is in communications. Cables are commonly at fault, even new ones. USB to serial adapters can have conflicts and driver issues (reinstall the driver), as can wireless communications.
