How Delivery via Download Works

 

Download purchases are processed via PayPal. A PayPal account is not required; all major credit cards are accepted.

 

Once your payment as been processed an order confirmation page will be displayed with a link to the setup file to be downloaded. Your license information, consisting of an email address and serial number, will also be displayed. This same information will be sent via email to the email you specified with your order. Keep this information for your records.

 

You may download the setup file as many times as you want, and you may install SkyTools on as many computers as you wish, as long as it is for your own use only. You may also keep the setup file for later use.

 

The installation process will begin once the setup file is run (after the download is complete). You will be prompted for the email address and serial number that was assigned to you when you placed your order. Enter these exactly as they appear on the order confirmation.

 

SkyTools will start once the installation is complete. You can see your license information and current software version via the SkyTools Preferences dialog.

 

If you ordered the Standard Edition, you may begin a 30-day trial of the Real Time Add-on via the same dialog. The Add-on may also be purchased from within the program.

 

If you ordered the Professional Edition you will be prompted the first time you run the program to install the Extended Star Data. This is a large (3.3 GB) download and may take more than an hour to complete even with a fast connection. You can skip this download until later and it can be cancelled and then restarted at any time via the SkyTools Preferences dialog.

 

Skyhound makes program updates available periodically. You will be prompted to install the latest update when one is available. We recommend keeping the program updated to the latest version.

How Media (CD, DVD) Delivery Works

 

Media purchases are processed via your choice of PayPal, Amazon Payments, or Google Checkout. Orders are typically shipped by 2:30 PM MST (GMT-7) on business days. 

You will be prompted to enter a shipping address and to select the delivery service. Select Priority Mail for addresses in the US with delivery in 2-5 business days. Please note that we are not able to ship overnight from our remote location. New Mexico sales tax will be added for orders shipped to addresses in New Mexico.

For addresses outside of the US you have the choice of the Priority Mail International or Express Mail services.  Packages shipped via Priority Mail International are typically delivered within 14 days; this service does not provide for tracking. Packages shipped via Express Mail International are typically delivered in 5-10 business days and include tracking. The declared value is that of the media only.

If you purchase the Standard Edition you will receive a CD in a paper CD sleeve. 

 

The Professional Edition is provided in a folding paper wallet with a CD and DVD. The DVD contains the extended star data with 255 million stars down to 20th magnitude. The DVD is an optional part of the install and the data it contains can be added later from within the program. 

 

Installation is via the CD in the usual way. Skyhound makes program updates available periodically. You will be prompted to install the latest update when the program starts. We recommend updating immediately to the latest version.
