Hello,
I have just released an update that simplifies the entry of gain settings for variable gain cameras, which will also allow the proper gain settings to be entered for the Risingcam.
Here is the full process for setting up the gains for this camera:
1. Update SkyTools Imaging to version 4.0j R20. If you aren't prompted, select Updates, Registration and Feedback from the top level Setup menu. Press Check for Updates to begin the update process.
2. Select up to five gain settings and corresponding offsets that you wish to use with your camera. Use the graphs provided with the camera specs to make your choices.
3. Open your Imaging System on the Imaging Systems dialog and click on your camera.
4. If you have any gains set, select each one in the list and click Delete until no gains are listed.
5. Click Add. This will open the dialog where you can enter one gain at a time. Type the Gain Selection into the label field. Enter the actual gain in e/ADU that corresponds to this gain selection (from the graph or table). Enter the corresponding offset that you intend to use with this gain setting. Click Ok.
Enter up to five Gain Selections. These can be either LCG or HCG modes. Note which mode in your Gain label.
Example, "LCG 251" (label), 0.19 (gain), and a good offset for that gain that will keep ADU from going negative.
