Let me rephrase:
1. The Scheduler needs to track whether or not a project has been completed so it doesn't continue to be scheduled and to clutter the target list
2. The Target Selection tool has no such requirement
3. I did not design the Target Selection tool to consider whether or not a project has been completed. Therefore, what you are seeing is the intended behavior.
To repeat, the P does not indicate an "Active" project. It merely indicates a Project Exists.
In my original response I suggested some alternatives to track and/or filter out targets that have completed projects, independent of the "P" in the project column.
Hopefully that clears it up. If you have more questions, please ask. I will try to be more clear with my answers.
As the final follow up to this particular subject regarding the Letter P in the Target Selection Tab.
While in the Target Selection Tab, I use the Deep Sky Columns layout with modifications to reduce the amount of columns.
On targets that have an existing Project ( Letter P ) I have logged Observations with various filters ( see Observation attachment )
The Option to show the Progress of Observations has been checked ( see Status attachment )
That column does not appear in the Target Selection Tab on the targets with the Letter P ( see Target attachment )
Is there something I am overlooking ?
I enjoy the software....hopefully I'll understand why some things don't make sense currently.
